To celebrate chemistry, the American Chemical Society with the Texas A&M University Department of Chemistry, will hold a Chemistry Open House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Chemistry Building. This free event is open to the public, especially K-12 students. There will be "goodie bags" for the first 600 students, two chemistry "magic" shows at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Room 100 Chemistry Building featuring fires, explosions and weird polymers, lots of door prizes at both shows, many hands-on and computer activities, lab tours and demonstrations.
