The Industry-University Cooperative Chemistry Program will hold its Eighth Annual Graduate in Chemistry Symposium from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday (Sept. 19-20) in Rooms 2121/2104, Chemistry Building. Keynote speaker will be James C. Stevens, senior catalyst scientist, Dow Chemical Company, who will discuss "Insite (trademark of the Dow Chemical Company) and Other Catalyst Technologies: From the Lab to Commercialization." Other industry speakers include Scott Han, Rohm and Haas Company, "New Catalytic Chemistry for Industrial Needs;" Dirk Stefan, BASF Corporation, "PDP Scientist at BASF: Transition from Academia to a Business Driven Environment;" Karen Lackey, Glaxo Wellcome, Inc., "Systematic Approach to Kinase Inhibition for Cancer Drug Discovery;" and Haskell Hart, Shell Chemical Company, "Corterra, a New Polyester From Shell Chemical Company."
