Paul S. Cremer, assistant professor of chemistry at Texas A&M, has received a Beckman Young Investigators Award from the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation of California. Cremer was one of 16 scientists receiving the award for 2001. The Beckman Foundation is an independent, nonprofit foundation established for the purpose of supporting scientific research. It helps provide research support to the most promising young faculty members in the early stages of their academic careers in the chemical and life sciences. The program fosters the invention of methods, instruments and materials that will open new avenues of research in science.
