The Mission of the ADVANCE Center for Women Faculty is to transform Texas A&M University by enhancing and sustaining gender equity and improving representation of women faculty in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The goals of the Center are to improve the workplace climate for women STEM faculty, promote women STEM faculty to higher ranks and to administration, recruit the next generation of women STEM academicians, increase retention of women STEM faculty, and institutionalize activities that prove to increase gender equity.

To provide and promote resources that will enhance mathematics and science education at all levels. To this end, the center offers these services: curriculum development, staff development program consultants, coordination of professional activities, research design and assistance, assistance in the preparation of proposals, conferences, workshops and seminars, teacher recognition, and communications and news.

Public Relations, Print Materials and Website (in support of College) and act as Collegiate Representatives for University Marketing Initiatives

Former Student Relations, Gifts to the College, and Liaison to the Texas A&M Foundation

Educational science activities for middle and high school students, Network for female faculty and students

Assist Dean in administrative and academic matters; Faculty hiring, promotion and tenure

Facilitates, coordinates and enhances college assessment and preK-12 education efforts

Increase college visibility statewide, nationally and internationally

Advocate of faculty for college and departments, Summer REU Program

Admissions, Curriculum, Fellowships, Recruiting Support and Tuition Remission

Academic Probation/Review, Academic Removal, College-Level Advising, Appeals, Curriculum, Scholarships, Transfer Admissions and New Student Conferences
